Privacy
The short version: NewsClock collects as little as possible. There’s no account to create, no advertising, and no cookies — the only thing we run is a cookieless page-view counter (see below).
What we don’t do
We don’t use advertising networks or cookies of our own, and we don’t use any tracking script that follows you across other sites. We don’t require sign-up, and we don’t ask for or store any personal information to use the map, country comparisons, or scenario builder — everything on those pages runs from the same public dataset for every visitor.
Web analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic — how many people visit, which pages, roughly which country and device type. It’s cookieless: it doesn’t set any cookie or local storage on your device, doesn’t fingerprint your browser, and doesn’t track you across other sites. We only see aggregated numbers, not individual visitor profiles. See Cloudflare’s Web Analytics page for how it works.
What our hosting infrastructure sees
Like effectively any website, the server that delivers these pages generates ordinary web server logs (things like IP address, requested page, and timestamp) as a normal part of serving traffic and keeping the site running. We don’t cross-reference these logs with any other data, build profiles from them, or share them with third parties.
If you contact us
If you email feedback@newsclock.com with a question, a data correction, or feedback, we’ll have whatever you sent (your email address and message). We use it only to respond to you and, where relevant, to improve the site’s data — we don’t add you to a mailing list or share it with anyone else.
Changes to this page
If what we collect ever changes, we’ll update this page to reflect it — as we just did to add the Web analytics section above. See Disclaimer for how the site’s data itself is sourced and its limitations.
